The Planning Group
Darcy R. Yocum is our founder. She started the company in 2002, as a Financial Advisor; providing education, coaching and consulting as she managed client relationships and investments. She is a member of the National Association of Christian Financial Consultants.
The Planning Group is headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska and is working with clients in multiple states to integrate their wealth and retirement strategies. Our planning professionals will help guide and educate you as we help you create and implement your Personalized EIEIO Financial Plan.
Our foundation is to provide our clients with a Financial Plan; the investment philosophy based on managing risk and the identification of your goals so your assets have a defined purpose.
We believe investments are managed correctly when an understanding of our clients' intent, goals and values have been integrated into the investment policy.
Our team has developed wealth management strategies for families, businesses, non-profits (foundations/endowments), divorce mediation and high-income/high net-worth individuals since 2004. We collectively draw on years of financial planning experience why collaborating with experienced professionals providing extensive knowledge and broad perspective to strategically implement your plan and manage your investments. We build the team with your attorney and CPA and work as the relationship team member to help you.

Darcy has been involved in consulting since 1996 in insurance matters and held the position of Operations and Compliance Manager until she obtained her Advisory licenses in 2002. She wanted to expand what she could do in helping her clients build and find security in their own financial planning. Darcy enjoys customizing services for her clients. Her approach helps clients see the whole picture and helps them reach their hopes and dreams. Darcy enjoys, with laughter and tears, the goals she helps come true in her clients' lives.
Darcy grew up in Western Nebraska in a small town of 400 people. The agricultural community and her mother and father laid the foundation for hard work and fun while she was learning something new everyday. She carried that through as she earned her Bachelor Degree in Organizational Communication with an Emphasis in Business Management from the University of Nebraska/Kearney. She continues her education today with the National Association of Christian Financial Consultants.
Darcy and her husband have three beautiful daughters, son-in-laws, 5 wonderful grandchildren and 7 grand dogs and 8 grand horses and one old cat named Teddy.
She enjoys, hiking, biking but mostly her time with her grandchildren and her horse, Ringo.
More important than anything is her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith is her foundation and core for helping people. Fellowship and prayer are welcomed all the time.

Britni has been helping people solve problems and meet their life goals all her young life. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her expertise of life's journey is extensive. It seems like everyone and everything she comes in contact with teaches her something she takes to heart to help someone else down the road; whether it be a doctoring a horse, a technology issue, a flat tire, brakes needing changed, or a home remodeled, she is good at all these things and more. Her heart leads her into our clients' lives as a friend more than a manager.
She has over fifteen years of experience in the property/casualty insurance field with most of that being in commercial insurance and holds her Life, Annuity and Long Term Care Insurance licences.
Britni grew up in western Nebraska and learned the value of hard work and determination as she also worked in farming and ranching.
Britni and her husband live in Glenwood, Iowa with their two beautiful daughters. On their farm they enjoy the many farm animals that wake them up each day saying, "I'm hungry." The life they have chosen has brought opportunities for the grandchildren to ride horses, raises sheep, calves and chickens while learning where frogs really come from.
Britni has enjoyed helping special needs and military using her horses to help them have fun and find peace.
She looks forward to being your Client Relations Manager.
